How to get started.

The South African 8-bit scene is I nowhere. Yes, I said it. It needs more people to join this unpretensious music form.
So here are awesome websites for you to peruse, take in and develop your chiptune masterpieces:
http://gameboygenius.8bitcollective.com/wordpress/gameboy-resources/gameboy-music-how-to/

nitro2k01's post shows an in-depth way on how to create chiptunes on a Gameboy. This is also the way I (Sparkyboy) make my tunes. Also within in that post is a link to Goto80's Commodore 64 guide.

Then this here site:
http://www.8bitcollective.com is THE online Internet Community and THE best chiptune source around on the web at the moment. I've been frequenting the website since the end of last year and it has proved helpful countless times and I've made awesome online friends. Even the legends, Bit Shifter, Nullsleep and Random post there. So join in! I want some more South African people representing. I'm the only loner there.

Good luck! And hope to hear from new chiptune artists.
